On a bone chilling icy day very little could be far better than the audio of hearth crackling from the fireplace, the smell of soup in the kettle, and cornbread in the oven. My nose was teasing my flavor buds. My style buds had been basking in expectations of being bathed in complete delight.
The usual calling card (aroma’s from the kitchen area ) was currently being left and experienced commenced drawing all people from each and every corner of the house, within and out, to have a have to have to get a drink of drinking water, a cup of espresso, or nearly anything that would set them in, or close to the kitchen. 2 Ham Hocks
5 C. Drinking water
1 C. Vegetable Broth
1 16 oz. pkg. of break up peas
1/2 C. of canned spinach with juice (pureed) key ingredient
salt & pepper to flavor
1 C. 50 percent n 50 %
3 T. butter
1 modest yellow onion (diced)
1 clove garlic (minced)
pinch of floor cumin
In a large weighty stock pot position Ham Hocks, drinking water, and vegetable broth. You may include salt to style. Convey to a rolling boil.
